it would never be Yuan, Yuan's technology can make the drogon a lot more better than that, it should be like Tang dynasty.

By the style of the dragon, i would tend to say it is of Tang or earlier origin as well. This dragon looks more like the Han period dragons. I am pretty sure after Soong the dragon look more and more ugly.
